At WA4, we’re interested in more than just providing a service — we want to help people build greater independence, confidence and understanding.
Our services are designed around practical support, useful skills and a better understanding of neurodiversity. Whether that’s one-to-one support, our FTI independence program, or resources and services for the wider sector, everything we do has the same goal: helping create more independent lives and better-informed communities.
Practical, person-centred support that helps people get out, get things done and build confidence in everyday life.
Our support work is focused on the individual, not a one-size-fits-all approach. We work alongside people to support their goals, interests and everyday routines, while encouraging independence wherever possible.
This might include getting out into the community, developing life skills, working towards personal goals, trying new activities or simply having the right support to take part in everyday life.
Our aim isn’t to do everything for someone. It’s to support them to do more for themselves.
A practical program designed to help neurodivergent people develop the skills, routines and confidence they need for greater independence.
FTI focuses on the everyday things that can make independent living easier — from routines and time management to looking after yourself, managing a home, understanding money and getting around the community.
The program breaks these skills down into manageable steps and gives participants the opportunity to learn, practise and reflect along the way.
It’s not about becoming completely independent overnight. It’s about building the skills and confidence to take the next step.
Practical resources, learning and support for people who want to keep moving forward.
We know that support doesn’t always look the same for everyone, and changes to funded support can leave people with fewer hours to work towards their goals.
WA4+ is being created to give individuals access to practical resources, training and tools they can use in their own time — helping build skills, confidence and independence beyond their regular support sessions.
From everyday life skills and practical guides to online learning, worksheets and useful resources, WA4+ is about making good support and information more accessible.
Because having less support shouldn’t mean having less opportunity to learn, grow and become more independent.
